£400–£550 per day, based on experience

We connect high growth businesses seeking finance, with institutional investors looking for valuable investment opportunities.  We have successfully raised over £84M for UK businesses on our regulated platform.

Following the expansion of our Debt Financing platform and Private Lending activities we are now looking to add someone to our team to focus on web UI.

The Role and Your Responsibilities

You’ll join our highly agile Technology team; working closely with members of the Technology, Digital Marketing, Operations and Debt Financing teams you’ll create web-based solutions exposing our platform capabilities to end-users. The role is focussed on UI and front-end development, building user-focussed solutions that interact with our in-house platform’s API.

You will be responsible for:

  • Fast delivery of prototype UI to prove and demo potential solutions to users and clients
  • Creation of modular web-based (React/HTML/CSS) portals targeted to specific user groups
  • Ownership of UI design and look-and-feel consistency aligned to our corporate brand
  • Ad-hoc web development (HTML/CSS) in support of our digital marketing team
  • Active participation in the team’s planning, software delivery and quality control processes

Your Skills

To be suitable for this role you need to be proficient in the following technologies:

  • Strong experience building web applications with React
    • In-depth understanding of supporting technologies including: o HTML and CSS
    • o ES6
    • o js, Webpack, Babel and Less to handle React application build
  • Experience handling browser performance and page rendering concerns
  • Knowledge of development tools including Git and Jira
  • Experience working within an Agile team

Other technology knowledge is also beneficial, including:

  • Ability to build server-side services using PHP and Slim framework
  • Experience with continuous integration tools including Jenkins
  • Knowledge and experience of micro-service architecture and design
  • API authoring and design skills
  • Knowledge of WAMP/LAMP in support of the micro-services platform


You will also need a number of key personal skills:

  • The ability to self-manage and motivate while also being a team player
  • Good communication skills, including the giving and receiving of feedback
  • Understand the importance of code quality tools and unit testing
  • Understand the importance of automation within the development lifecycle
